How to start a life with God?
God can fullfill our life!
Christianity is not a religion. It is a relationship. A relationship with a living God who desires to fulfill your life. When you choose to live with Him, He will transform your life. He will give you meaning, He will guide you, you will gain a new family, you will gain friendship with someone who knows you perfectly and who loves you. This does not mean that your life will be completely perfect, but God promises to guide you through every situation and never abandon you.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly. (John 10:10)

But there is an obstacle called sin, and it separates us all from God.
But none of us are perfect. Each of us has done something wrong. Sometimes we have lied, envied, slandered... And all of this separates us from God. You may think that you are a good person, that you are not a murderer or a thief, that you help people and do not harm anyone. All of this may be true, but even that is not enough. Even if you lied just once in your entire life, there would be a barrier between you and God.
All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
God is just and must punish every sin, but at the same time He loves us and wants to be with us.
But God desires a relationship with us. That is why He created us. He loves you and me more than we can possibly understand. But He is also holy and perfect. He will not tolerate any evil, any sin, anything that is not holy. As a just God, He must punish all sin. We all deserve to die and suffer in hell.
So how can we imperfect humans have a relationship with a perfect God? How did God solve this?
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
That is why he sent Jesus to die for our sins. He was punished in our place so that we could have a new and fulfilled life.
God sent someone to Earth who could take the punishment for all of us. He was 100% human and 100% God. The only Son of God, Jesus Christ. Unlike us, He lived a perfect life without sin and did nothing wrong. Yet He was tortured, scourged, pierced in the hands and feet, and nailed to a cross, where He died for many hours. God poured out on Him all the righteous wrath that you and I deserve. Then He died, was laid in a tomb, and rose from the dead on the third day.
And only because of that can we all now come to God. Without Jesus' death on the cross, this would not be possible.
For God so loved the world that He gave [His] only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
You can start a personal relationship with God today!
So what now? Jesus sacrificed himself, so we're okay, right? Not really. It's not enough to just take it as information and do nothing about it. You have to believe it. If you believe it, if you know in your heart that this is true, you have to do two things:
1. Confess that you are a sinner and need forgiveness.
2. Invite Jesus to be your Lord.
And you can do that very simply. Just tell it to God in prayer.
